If you want to protect yourself from different winter diseases (not white walkers), you need to take some measures. So today, I will be sharing with you some tips on how you can stay healthy in Winter.
1. Be Vigilant about Hygiene
It’ll not protect you from being sick but being vigilant about hygiene can help you to stop spreading the cold and the flu. Following guidelines can be helpful for you and keep you safe from germs.

- Throw the snotty tissues into the trash can.
- Avoid sharing cutlery and cups if you are not feeling well.
2. Eat Healthy and Immune-Boosting Food
A balanced diet is always good, but you should change your eating habits according to the weather requirement. What you intake reflects on your outside health. It would be best if you took an adequate of these vitamins.
- Zinc is found in most animal products like fish and nuts, and seeds.
- Vitamin C, which can be acquired from fruits and vegetables
- Iron can be taken from meat, beans, and spinach, etc.
- Vitamin D can be obtained by natural means like sitting in the sunshine.
3. Avoid Skipping Meals
You need more energy to fight with cold in Winter. You should not skip meals, especially breakfast; otherwise, you might be a delicious prey for the cold or the flu. Keeping your immune system strong is essential. Most of the time, one gets a cold or flu when the immune system is weak.
4. Exercise Regularly
One wouldn’t want to stay outdoors due to cold weather. Try to stay indoors in Winter, but regular exercise is also vital for your body. It not only helps you keep active but also keeps you mentally sharp. You can have activities like weight lifting or cycling at home. Rope skipping is also something you can try indoors.
5. Stay Hydrated
In Summers, one would rush towards the water, but that isn’t the case in Winters. The human body often roots for water in Summers, and hence our body gets enough of it, but in Winter, that’s not the case. Due to less water intake in Winters, more cases of dehydration are reported. Therefore, it is essential to drink about 8 glasses of water to keep your body hydrated. This way, you will be able to stay healthy in Winter.
