The symptoms of coronavirus may persist for three weeks in even the healthy people, and those who have not developed a severe case said the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from the United States.

The CDC team surveyed 292 people sick with coronavirus, and about 35% of people reported that they aren’t able to resume usual routine and health, even later than two to three weeks of testing positive.

Older people were at risk of developing severe coronavirus symptoms, but the young adults reported feeling sick for longer durations and had no underlying medical conditions. Health experts have emphasized mass testing to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. At the same time, the people who do not display symptoms can also spread the virus.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the US, recently declared the emergency authorization for the asymptomatic testing of people and even those who believe they are not infected. The Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci said,

“I think as we get into 2021, several months in, that you have a vaccine that would be widely available in the United States.”

More details and understandings on the coronavirus are coming forth, and the reported cases of coronavirus have crossed 4.1 million, with 145,546 deaths in the United States.
