CDC Points Out Common Symptoms Of COVID-19

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has pointed out the common symptoms of COVID-19 experienced by most infected people. Among the symptoms of coronavirus; fever, body aches, cough, sore throat, body aches, shortness of breath, and (new) loss of smell and taste; the common symptoms are cough, fever, and shortness of breath.

The study published by CDC analyzed the data of 164 infected people during mid-January till the first week of April from 16 states. The researchers reported that 96% of people had a fever, cough, and or shortness of breath. About 45% of the people experienced all three of these symptoms of coronavirus.

The common symptom; cough was reported by almost 84% of people, and 80% of them had a fever. The CDC commented,

“Among adult patients, shortness of breath was more commonly reported by hospitalized (82%) than by non-hospitalized patients (38%).”

The patients of coronavirus also displayed symptoms of muscle pain, chills, fatigue, headaches, and digestive difficulties (abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea). Among these symptoms, there were frequent reports of diarrhea (38%) and seldom reports of vomiting (13%).

The CDC is hopeful that the study will assist in guiding the healthcare systems in testing and healthcare.
